ROBERT EARL CRIPPEN

Bob Crippen passed away peacefully, December 27, 2004 in Sparks, NV at the age of 82 years. Loving husband of 53 years to the late Nancy Merritt Crippen. Cherished father of Carol (Dan) Johndrow of Redwood City, CA, Janet (Kevin) Robinson of Visalia, CA, James (Sandra) Crippen of Sparks, NV and Kathleen (Tom) First of Gold River, CA. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Edith McKee Crippen Kraft and his two brothers, Ross and Clyde Crippen. Bob was a native of Burbank, CA and grew up in Northern California. He was a graduate of Woodland High School, Class of 1940. he was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Bob received his degree in architecture from the University of Oregon. He was active in business and service organization in the community where he lived and was a member of the Episcopal Church. He was a retired architect and musician with businesses in Woodland and Truckee. He also managed a ski resort in the 1970's. Bob will be best remembered for his love of painting, music, golf, boating, flying and skiing.
